Please join us for a trade policy breakfast hosted by WCIT member Heller Ehrman. This talk will help companies think through the legal aspects for their objectives in China, including, but not limited to, hiring a manufacturer; opening their own facility; joint ventures with existing facilities; licensing products; hiring distributors; and employing their own sales force. Attendees will then discuss their thoughts, reactions and concerns about this pressing topic.

We are honored to feature outstanding speakers Carson Wen and Katherine U. Mr. Wen and Ms. U are very accomplished lawyers who have been active in China for a long time, both for Western and Chinese companies. Mr. Wen is also a member of the National People's Congress representing Hong Kong and, as a leading lawyer in China, sits on committees that are involved in the promulgation of various laws. Mr. Wen brings an interesting perspective from the standpoint of a quasi-insider to the process of legal reform in China. This perspective is especially valuable when addressing the question: "What will China become in the next 2, 10, 20 years?"

Special thanks to our host, Heller Ehrman and to our co-presenting organizations, National Center for APEC and Washington State China Relations Council.
