Panel I: Global Impacts, Local Economy
This panel will take an in-depth look at the impacts of developing nations on our region. Panelists will consider questions such as

· What are the impacts of global poverty on our region?
· What are the impacts of external environmental degradation, ill health, poor technology and social unrest?
· What kinds of trade policies support global prosperity?
· Which models are working toward the essential goals, and how can we support them?

Panel II : "Powering the Renaissance"
After previewing our relations with the world beyond our borders, we will turn the spotlight closer to home. This discussion focuses on the most crucial arenas in which to initiate a sustained regional revitalization. Panelists will consider questions such as
· What are the component factors required to renew our economy?
· What are the roles of various sectors, such as business, government, civil society, academia, the media?
· What is already under way?
· How can we support positive steps and trends?

Luncheon: "Future Bound: Pathways to a Global and Local Renaissance"
