On June 30, the US Government signed the US-Korea Free Trade Agreement with the Government of Korea. This agreement, called KORUS, now heads to Congress where it will be hopefully voted on favorably this fall. Proponents on both sides of the trade debate are weighing in with their members of Congress regarding the pros and cons of ratifying this agreement. The following represents background on the US-Korea trade relationship with respect to Washington State.
